How the ZIP code lookup works

We find the center of your ZIP code, then list every National Weather Service storm report of snow within 25 miles, closest and largest first. Totals are storm totals as reported by spotters and stations, so a report from earlier in a storm can be lower than the final amount.

Average yearly snowfall comes from the nearest NOAA climate station with a full 1991–2020 record.
